About Us
What is Aging in Place?
This is a term used in reference to being able to live where you have lived for many years - a place you call home, in spite of age-related circumstances that may decrease your mobility. Often it involves using products, services, and home modifications to enable you to live safely and independently at home for as long as possible.
Our process
For Outpatient Physical Therapy at home or in the community, simply call to make an appointment. We will contact your physician with the care plan and verify insurance for you.
For home modification services, we can instruct on needed changes or implement ones you already know you need. We work with trusted local contractors to implement the agreed upon home remodeling plan.
Our obligation
We are dedicated to helping you or your loved ones age safely and comfortably at home. We will work with you every step of the way to address your physical as well as environmental needs. AIPS is your resource for safer and more independent living.
Meet the Owner,
Kathryn Cieniewicz, PT, MSPT, CAPS, CEAC
Kathryn has been a licensed, practicing Physical Therapist since 2003 as a graduate from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She moved to southern Delaware with her husband, Mark, in 2006 and has since become an integral part of southern Delaware’s rehabilitation community.
Kathryn has her Masters of Science Degree in Physical Therapy and has professional experience as a therapist in inpatient rehabilitation, private practice outpatient rehabilitation, as well as home healthcare services and management. Kathryn has always had a passion for helping people.
Kathryn greatly enjoys providing Physical Therapy. She works closely with her clients to restore and maximize function and independence. Kathryn is also an Aging in Place Specialist and a Certified Environmental Access Consultant that is dedicated to providing accessible home design planning to enable the physically challenged to remain at home with the most independence possible. In starting a company that values being proactive in planning for the future, she also offers consulting for younger clients who desire to incorporate Universal Design features for new construction homes.
